A miniature ancient greek building on your neck!

The moment our eye catched these amazing pieces, we knew that this is going to be a huge trend since it combines history, talent, inspiration and uniqueness. And the name of it…QUPA.

QUPA, is a Greece-based design studio formed by Eleni Kouineli and Stefanos Papadatos, two architects who combined their passion for architecture and handcraft to create a series of jewelry inspired by the floor plans of famous monuments, museums and other landmarks from all over the world.

The brand that they created Croquis by Cupa – a name deriving from their initials – combine Greek jewelry with architecture in a unique way, based on three stated principles: beauty, stability and convenience. Architecture should balance these three elements without any one surpassing the other. Architecture and jewelry-making share the same design principles, despite being two fields of an entirely different scale.

The aim of Croquis jewels is to increase the world’s interest towards Ancient Greece, its history and culture.

“The favorite” 10 nominations

Congrats to our own greek talented director, Yorgos Lanthimos, who approved that everything is possible if you have talent and clear goal setting.

Leading Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos’ film “The Favourite” has received an impressive 10 Oscar nominations including those for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress.

The nominations for the 91st Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday, with “The Favourite” also contending for best-supporting actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz), best original screenplay, photography, editing, cinematography, production design, and costume design.

Based on the true story of Queen Anne, played by Olivia Colman, and the dysfunctional court set up by the last member of the Stewart dynasty, “The Favourite” touches on universal themes, such as love, competition, and power.

“The Favourite” takes the lead for the most nominations, in a tie with “Roma” an emotional story of a domestic worker’s journey set against domestic and political turmoil in 1970s Mexico, written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

“I was interested mainly in the three central characters, their power, their fragile relations and how the behaviour of so few people could turn the tide of war and the fate of a country. For me, it is also a love story with comic, dramatic and dark moments,” Lanthimos said.

“The Favourite” is also contending for best-supporting actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz), best original screenplay, photography, editing, cinematography, production design, and costume design at the 91st Academy Award, which will be held on Sunday, February 24 in Hollywood.

The first thing i have to highlight here is that we are talking about a very talented greek designer, who combines traditional greek culture with digital designs. Art is life and that is something that all the art-aholics know. Simplicity and making a statement is all that we need in order to create a calm and beutiful environment.

Postfolk works to relocate these elements within a new visual context and physical form, most of all in the pure brilliant colors of silk-screen prints.
