Nike SB “De la Soul”
Ten years after the original release, Nike SB is bringing back a reimagined version of the hugely popular “De La Soul”. The legendary rap trio heavily influenced early 1990s skate culture, so in return the shoes pay homage to the group’s 1989 album 3 Feet High and rising. The De La Soun x Nike SB Dunk high will retail for $150 and the lows for $135. On February 13th the highs will make their move, and the lows will on May.

The “Super” pack is as loud as her past collections (“Spray” and “Roses”). The designs have taken direct inspiration from pop art. The collection features classic silhouettes including apparel accessories and footwear such as the superstar 80s, hoodie, shorts and tee, all of which have be emblazoned with Rita’s take on pop art prints. The collection will be available from March 1.

Last year, our obsession with denim was wearing a little thin. This year the things are changing. In the U.S. alone, sales for denim fell a staggering 6 percent in the $16 billion jean industry. Some analysts blamed the rise of athleisure wear, while others pointed the finger at a lack of innovation. Whatever the cause, designers rose to the challenge. For spring, the runways were decorated with a bouquet of fresh choices that are making us fall in love with denim all over again.
